Procedure to get Duplicate Licence in 2020 – After Lost Driving Licence

1. Go to police station and file a complaint about the Lost of licence .Take FIR copy with you mentioning that you have lost your Driving licence .

2. Go to Near by RTO and Submit FIR copy to RTO then ask for Duplicate Driving Licence Form . ( RTO where you applied for your Driving Licence Before )

3 . Fill the Form correctly and provide All the information about your self – DOB , Address , Fathers name etc . ( Also take Address proofs and Age proof documents with you they may ask for original documents ) .

4. Give the prescribed Fees ( 200-300) it depends on state wise .
Follow the mentioned steps and you will get your Duplicate Driving licence in 7-15 days ( Depends on your area location and your RTO office ) . your duplicate driving licence will be dispatched via post .

Documents Required –

1. FIR copy

2. old driving licence ( if exchanging card – if card is damaged )

3. Three recent passport size Photos

all your photocopies will be attested .

some States Provides Facility to apply for Duplicate Licence online But majority of The RTO do not provide this facility so it better you go to RTO and fill the form in a day and wait for the Duplicate Licence to come .
